Around the great Himalayas in Everest Region, Ama Dablam dominates the eastern part of the sky with its attractive summit and charming pyramid shape. It is located in the Barun Mahalangur section of the Himalayas. It has a long ridge on each side like a mother’s arm protecting her child and the glacier at the southwest resembling a “Dablam”. In Nepali, “Ama” means mother and “Dablam” means sacred ornament worn by women of Sherpa community. Therefore, Ama Dablam means Mother’s Necklace. The name was given by its physical shape. It is also known as “Matterhorn of the Himalayas”

Today is dedicated to final preparations for the expedition. Obtain necessary climbing permits, including the Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit and Ama Dablam Climbing Permit. Begin the day with a thrilling 30-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, known for its dramatic mountain views and exciting landing.
